Day 19, Tuesday, San Sebastian

The pension proprietor spent over half an hour with us recommending places to eat, things to do. We decided to walk around to the next port east of here, about 7km along a walking trail in the hills above the coast.

Some recommended bars and restaurants
We walked to Pasai along this trail. It was 7.3km, but Spanish km seem longer than ours.

I wouldn’t want to meet him on a dark night.
Or him. The first two in Anne’s series on Slugs of Spain.
Signs were sometimes confusing.
We were following the marked trail, when it was marked.
One of the less rugged parts of the trail
We’ve walked our bit of the Camino de Santiago now. We think it’s more like 8km.
Harbour entrance at Pasai

Our welcome in Pasaia San Pedro

There were a couple of restaurants on the other side of the harbour. We could get there on a small boat that ran every half hour. We were too tired. The service at the only cafe we could find was consistent with this graffiti. We are probably doing the place a disservice. We took the E9 bus back to San Sebastian.

Sorry, wiffee is no good here, more tomorrow.

It’s much better here in Cauterets.  I inserted more photos.

We went back to the Duck Store. Anne bought two rubber ducks for our grandchildren. The only one I’d buy was “The Donald” duck. Make bathtime great again.
